We provide a range of services, however our main focus is the supply of limited-slip differentials, and the maintenance of motorsport transmissions. Our full range is listed below.

Limited-Slip Differential Supply

We supply and fit a wide range of LSDs from the top manufacturers (Cusco, Drexler, Kaaz, Quaife, Titan, Tran-X, & Wavetrac). Our service differ from other suppliers as we can offer custom set-up for any LSD we supply. This is included free of charge when you purchase a limited differential from us and get it fitted with us. We offer advice as to which differential will suit your vehicle when purchasing. Being independent and having no ties to any particular manufacturer means we can offer unbiased advice and recommendations.

Custom set-up for LSDs

Our custom set-up involves taking apart the LSDs and adjusting the number of friction plates, the preload, and the ramp angles. This gives the us the ability to precisely control how the LSD works in the vehicle. Due to variations such as power, weight, tyres, and type of use, custom set-up will help get the absolute best out of the vehicle, and will aid in shaving down lap times. This service is an option with all plated LSDs, and is provided free of charge when purchasing and fitting an LSD with us. We also offer this service to LSDs not supplied by us, and to LSDs made by manufacturers we don’t stock.

Gearbox Repair

We carry out repairs for manual gearboxes, whilst we focus on high performance vehicles, we also carry out repairs to standard road vehicles with a number of main dealers outsourcing their repairs to us. We carry bearings, seals and spare parts for most common gearboxes allowing for a fast repair. We only use the highest quality bearings & seals sourced from reputable manufacturers in the UK, USA, Germany & Japan. Our spare parts are manufactured by the OEM, or if unavailable, to standards meeting or exceeding that of the OEM.

Axle & Differential Repair

Axles and differentials require highly specialised knowledge and tools to repair, we have both. To correctly set-up a differential the correct amount of pinion preload must be set, the correct amount of backlash, and then finally the tooth contact patch must be checked. Ensuring all these are correct prolongs the life of the differential, and reduces noise from the differential. We only use the highest quality bearings & seals sourced from reputable manufacturers in the UK, USA, Germany & Japan. Our spare parts are manufactured by the OEM, or if unavailable, to standards meeting or exceeding that of the OEM.

Fitting aftermarket parts

We supply & fit aftermarket gearkits, final drive ratios, and LSDs. Gearkits change the gearing from the manufacturers standard in order to increase performance, or to suit a different engine type. For example a close ratio gear kit suits modified high revving engines much better than the standard gear ratios that come with the vehicle. The final drive ratios we fit are hugely popular with owners of Caterham’s / kit cars to get a good balance of acceleration and top speed. Another common ratio swap is with BMW M3’s, owners find the standard gearing is too long resulting in a high top speed, and many choose to switch to a motor-sport ratio to aid acceleration.

Consultancy

Consultancy services are available for diagnosing transmission problems in pre & post production vehicles, and to assist in gearbox and limited-slip differential design.
We can diagnose drivetrain noise, vibrations, reverberations, and the cause of component failure in production vehicles, and assist the manufacturer in rectifying issues. This is mainly done via an initial description of the issue, road tests and then disassembling the gearbox and / or axle. Once we find the source of the issue we also advise on how it can be rectified. A number of vehicle manufacturers have used us for this service.
Limited-slip differential manufacturers have benefited from our consultancy services whilst creating an initial design. We can offer an insight into how to reduce manufacturing costs, what friction materials to use, and what type of LSD design works most effectively. Our insight is based on the repairs we undertake on LSDs and feedback from our customers. We see common points of failure, what designs perform the best, and how to minimise manufacturing cost.
